The famous cheese owes its name to the valley of the River Emme in the Bern canton. Cheese production can be traced back to the 13th century in this location. Nowadays, Emmentaler is produced in around 111 village creameries from fresh, untreated milk, sourced from cows who eat grass and hay and are never fed any silage feed. Around 12 litres of milk are required to make one kilogram of cheese. Additives and genetically modified ingredients are strictly forbidden.

Coming across the Johnny Prosciutto Instagram ad I said I gotta check them out and reading all the great reviews I had to give it a shot and thank God I did. I'M HOOKED the flavors of all their products are amazing especially the sopressata pepper rosso. Having my dad being to longer with us (RIP) we missed his homemade deli but his creations lives on. Johnny Prosciutto makes it exactly, the flavor is exactly what I remember and thank you for that. Amazing customer service and delivery. You guys make superb.
